THE ROTARY CLUB OF TAVEUNI EYE PROJECT JUNE 2023 # 15
The Rotary Club of Taveuni, in association with our Rotary partners in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., are proud to announce the completion of the world-famous Rotary Eye Project in June 2023. We acknowledge the cooperation of the Fijian Government. The project commenced on Monday 12th June 2023.
- Looking for the daily reports? HERE they are.
- Here is the final detailed summary.
On this, the fifteenth annual eye project, we are limiting access to the project to those living on the island of Taveuni and to those patients who can get to Taveuni hospital without relying on Rotary to provide transport. Why? Funds are increasingly difficult to access, and the club felt the limited funds were best spent on looking after the patients while they were on the island.

We raise money wherever we can, but YOU can help. We want you to feel that your donation is meaningful and that it is all spent on our project. One of the most moving sights is the moment when the Fijian patients have the dressings removed from their eyes. Some have been blind from birth. If you would like more information about this quite extraordinary Rotary project, the form below will bring you much more information and put you in touch with the team leader.
